At ArtyHood, we strive to provide opportunities for local artists, creatives, and small businesses to display and sell artwork at our various events, festivals, markets, and block parties. 

We also facilitate connections between artists and brick-and-mortar businesses interested in hosting art & exhibitions.

1-  Read our Vendor Guidelines & Requirements below
2- Create an account
3- Wait for us to approve your account, normally 24-72 hrs. 4
4-Once your account is approved you will received and email informing about your access to our platform! 
3- Go to the “Opportunities tab” and select “Art Markets or Art Shows” to find the available events & call artists. 
4-Book an event to participate in or submit applications for the various opportunities we will bring you.
5- Application fees and other fees may be applied depending on the description of each opportunity. 
6- Wait for a notification from our team about our decision, typically within five days., after the application is submitted. 
6- If selected, we will approach you with the needed documentation. 
  • Submitting all required permit application materials and fees by the deadlines provided.
  • Submitting required insurance documents 
  • Bringing all the necessary equipment is zero waste compliant.
  • Bring a proper waste management system and arrange for offsite disposal of all waste generated by your art, craft, or activity.
  • Follow all the requirements outlined in the Vendor Guidelines & Requirements and any other City and County of San Francisco permit requirements.
  • Proactive communication with staff members regarding facilities, public treats, equipment
  • Entire liability for all your staff and equipment, and confidently assume responsibility for any rental equipment issued upon check-in.
  • Bring your equipment to furnish your space and a minimum of 40 lbs per leg. Alternatively, you can rent any furnishing from ArtyHood by requesting it at least 48 hours in advance for any of our events.
  • Setting up a professional and attractive display and/or service counter with branded signage, table coverings, and appealing visuals.
  • Artists are responsible for keeping their booth and the surrounding area clean.
  • Actively promote the event through various channels such as social media, email, and word of mouth. Additionally, make sure to share the marketing materials provided by the event organizers, including flyers, posters, and digital content, to maximize the event’s visibility and reach.

As an Artist participating in our event, we expect you to treat staff and attendees with respect, love, and compassion.

This includes:

1. Greeting staff and attendees with kindness and a friendly attitude.

2. Listening to and addressing any concerns or questions from staff and attendees with empathy and understanding.

3. Showing appreciation for the hard work and efforts of the event staff.

4. Respecting the diverse backgrounds and cultures of both staff and attendees.

5. Creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere at your booth or display.

We believe that by treating everyone with respect, love, and compassion, you will contribute to a wonderful and memorable experience for all involved. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

All participating artists & vendors must have:

● A California Seller’s Permit number

● Meet all City and County of San Francisco.

● Accept Digital Payments such as Venmo, PayPal and more.

 

ArtyHood will not provide refunds or compensation if a vendor or Artist is deemed unfit for operation by a permitting agency due to missing weights, fire prevention equipment, food safety equipment, or other permit violations.

 

The Small Business Empowerment Grants for Community Events by ArtyHood Foundation aim to support and empower Artists in San Francisco by providing opportunities to participate in ArtyHood events. 

These grants provide full or partial fee waivers for space to qualifying businesses in San Francisco, with priority given to minority-owned businesses within 0.25 miles of the event. 

Vendors who receive fee waivers are expected to pay any applicable permit fees and actively promote the event to their customer base.

By offering these grants, we hope to foster a thriving and diverse small business community while enhancing the vibrancy of local events.

Vending fees vary and depend on the nature of each event, the space, and the timing. It could range from $45 to $500.

All vending fees are non-refundable and are listed in the table below. Space, permit, and equipment fees must be received by the due date established on each event published in our website.

It is required that all Participants hold a valid CA Seller’s Permit required by state law or SF Street Vending Permit, including any applicable business licenses or liability insurance specific to San Francisco. City & County Guidelines.

The sale of the following items is strictly prohibited at all ArtyHood events:

– Tobacco or cannabis products

– Weapons

– Alcohol

– Illegal substances 

– Sale and distribution of bottled or packaged water encased in any material with 1 liter or less capacity is prohibited.

As a vendor participating in ArtyHood events, it’s essential to be mindful of the environmental and cultural impact of your products, packaging, and displays. Vendors should prioritize sustainability and cultural sensitivity in their offerings.

Vendors must send an email to artists@artyhood.org at least five (5) business days before the event in order to stay in good standing to attend future events. All fees are non-refundable

Please consider the following guidelines to support the health and wellness of our staff, vendors, and attendees and to reduce the spread of COVID-19, RSV, the common flu or cold, and other communicable diseases.

ArtyHood will enforce all health and safety requirements set by any partnering venues and the City and County of San Francisco (CCSF). Masks will be available at the information booth.

Staff and vendors are expected to adhere to the following guidelines:

– Wash hands frequently

– Stay home if sick

– Wear a mask if you have experienced flu-like symptoms in the last 5 days

– Wear a mask if you are or live with an immunocompromised individual

Vendors who rent equipment from ArtyHood for an event are responsible for the following:

  • Paying rental fees for the equipment by the published deadlines.
  • Covering replacement costs for lost or damaged equipment.
  • Taking liability for any injuries or property damage caused by the equipment.

By participating in the ArtyHood & ArtyHood Foundation event, vendors agree to the following on behalf of themselves, their staff, volunteers, and organization representatives, as well as their representatives, heirs, assigns, and next of kin:

To release, waive, and discharge the City and County of San Francisco, and its officers, agents, employees, representatives, and contractors (herein referred to collectively as “City”), ArtyHood & ArtyHood Foundation (collectively “The Event”) from any and all claims or demands of any kind and from all liability, penalties, costs, losses, damages, expenses, claims, or judgments (including attorney’s fees) resulting from injury, death or damage to myself, any visitor, third parties or property of any kind, which injury, death or damage arises out of or is in any way connected directly or indirectly to participation at The Event, whether caused by The Event or the City’s active or passive negligence or otherwise. Vendor understands that this release extends to claims that ArtyHood & ArtyHood Foundation they do not know or do not expect to exist at the time of the signing of this release, and I hereby waive the protections of California Civil Code Section 1542. 

The City and ArtyHood & ArtyHood Foundation shall be protected, held free and harmless, defended, and indemnified from any and all claims or demands of any kind, as well as from all liability, penalties, costs, losses, damages, expenses, claims, or judgments (including attorney’s fees) resulting from injury, death, or damage to any visitor, third parties, or property of any kind. This includes injury, death, or damage that arises directly or indirectly from participation at The Event, regardless of whether it was caused by the City, ArtyHood & ArtyHood Foundation’s active or passive negligence, or otherwise. The indemnity shall cover, among other things, reasonable attorney’s, experts, and consultants’ fees, investigation costs, and all other reasonable costs incurred by The Event or the City.

The vendor or the organization’s representatives will take full responsibility for the risk of bodily injury or property damage incurred during participation at The Event, whether it is caused by the City or ArtyHood & ArtyHood Foundation’s active or passive negligence or otherwise.

By attending The Event, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I or my household may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19. I understand that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I also understand that the risk of exposure to or infection by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including The Event and the City.

If heavy rain is forecasted within one hour of the event start time, or if the air quality index reaches 150, the event will be canceled. The decision will be made a couple of hours before the event start time. Vendors will be notified via email, and the general public will receive updates on the website and through social media posts

In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, such as an act of God (fires, explosions, earthquakes, hurricanes, natural disasters, flooding, storms or infestation), pandemic, epidemic, governmental order, or War, Invasion, Act of Foreign Enemies, Embargo, or other Hostility (whether declared or not), or any hazardous situation created outside the control of either party such as a riot, disorder, nuclear leak or explosion, or act or threat of terrorism, ArtyHood & ArtyHood Foundation will be excused of any further performance obligations. 

If such an event occurs, a notice will be provided to the vendors as soon as is reasonably practicable, and the notice will be effective immediately upon receipt. In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, the vendors will be held to the payment provisions listed in the Vendor Fees section. If the unforeseeable circumstances event causes the “Event” to be canceled, the parties will be bound by the cancellation payment provision as specified in the Vendor Fees and Cancellation sections.

DEAR ARTISTS,

Thank you so much for your interest in becoming part of Artyhood | Art Community Network in SF. 

Before you start please read and acknowledge the following:

  • Every event has a fee (btwn $40-$450), and the space provided is up to 10×10.  Sometimes is less, sometimes is more depending on the venue.
  • No food, drinks or products that can cause skin reactions.
  • We  have booth rental equipment available for your space. List Here
  • You are responsible for bringing everything your need (tents, tables, chairs, weights, etc..) 
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will not qualify for a refund.
  • Mostly of our events are outdoor, in case of rain, or any other cancellation due weather conditions will secure your space for following event, or issue a refund. 
  • Management will determine your location at any moment. 
  • While we do our best to fit everyone interested in participating, spaces are limited, and we may not be able to host everyone. In that case, we will refund your money.

REQUIREMENTS:

If it’s your first time participating, you don’t need to worry about it. but if you intend to participate actively this  will be requirement.

HOW TO START:

  • Go to ArtyhoodSF.com main menu and hit CREATE ACCOUNT or scroll down this page. 
  • You will need to provide a link and/or social media handle so we can review your art, or merchandise before you have access to spaces at any event.
  • Once we review your account, we will send an email confirming whether or not you become part of ArtyhoodSF Community Network.

HOW TO BOOK AN EVENT:

  • Once your account is approved the tab “Event for Artists” on the main menu becomes available. 
  • You can pay via Credit/Debit Card, Venmo or PayPal.
  • Once you pay, we process your order, review it, and if the event still available we will approved it, if not we will issue a refund. 
  • After approved you will receive a confirmation email order with your ticket code, this is when you are officially in. 
  • Our staff will be communicating with you regarding logistics day of event. 

CONNECTING ARTISTS WITH BUSINESSES 

When your account is approved your profile will become visible to Artyhood’s Network of Businesses looking to host art events, or to establish collaborations. 

Artyhood is not responsible at the moment for any negotiation or agreements made on either side, we just facilitate connection.
